Richard Carter is a landscape, commercial, events and portfolio photographer, based in the heart of Essex. Richard has been passionate about the art of photography since the day he was bought his very first camera, and has since successfully experimented with a number of richly diverse photographic styles.
He considers himself privileged to have been fortunate enough to turn his enthusiasm for a range of photography genres into a career, and takes his work very seriously. He is City & Guilds trained, having achieved the coveted grade of distinction.
Richard now runs his own successful photography business, offering a range of portfolio packages to clients, in the comfort of their homes. He owns a professional studio set up, complete with lighting and background screen. He also provides portfolio services, and is in the process of breaking into the wedding photography market, having completed a 3 day intensive course tailored to this photography genre.
Richard is affiliated with Colchester United, providing coverage of events at the club, including comedy nights, corporate hospitality and reserve team training. He is an active member of the Royal Photographic Society and is attending this year's Art on the Prom, a creative event in Suffolk's bustling seaside town of Felixstowe which showcases the best of the region's creative talent, attracting over 22,000 visitors annually.
Richard Carter Photography; Richard's company, has been featured on Creative Boom, a national web based magazine specifically dedicated to the creative arts. Online, his work was viewed by over 100 people.
He has also had several of his photographs published in Suffolk Magazine, run by the East Anglian Daily Times. This was following the joint submission of an article with his partner, Rebecca Riley, on the haunted history of the Suffolk village of Dunwich; an article to which Richard's photographs were attached (see our home page to read the full article!)
